The Welsh Liberal Democrats are the present-day inheritors of a proud Welsh Liberal tradition. The roots of the old Welsh Liberal Party go back a long way and run deep in this County. Historically, Carmarthenshire was a Liberal County and many of the communities within the County still retain strong Liberal values.
Liberal Democrats in the County are reviving that Liberal tradition by developing modern policies for 21st Century Carmarthenshire. We are attracting a new generation of members and supporters who have a vision. A Vision for a confident and forward looking County which is economically successful, has fairness and social justice at its core, and with a Council that is open, transparent and accountable to us as local citizens.
In the County-wide elections which will take place on 3rd May 2012, Carmarthenshire Liberal Democrats will be fielding more candidates than ever before - not just for the County Council and also for Town and Community Councils across the County. We also plan to continue increasing our number of candidates in the future as we rebuild Liberalism in Carmarthenshire.
Our Manifesto contains a set of policies which we believe will help achieve our vision for the County Council for the period ahead. We hope you share our Vision. If you do, please vote us, join us, support us.
